NEWS FLASH I: For the past two years, referrals of healthy toddlers and preschoolers in Thailand have been on hold. AAI was advised on December 27th that the government has now reopened the program to a small number of applicants in 2012. The process will take about three years. We invite you to check out this website's Thailand section. Please don't hesitate to e-mail or call with your questions. NEWS FLASH II: We are now accepting applications for young (9 mos.+ at time of referral) Chinese BOYS! and girls with minor correctable special needs. Cleft lip and palate, minor heart issues, and limb deformities are most frequently seen. The timing is estimated to be 12 to 18 months. There are many, many older children, also, in need of homes, many without special needs. |
AAI strives to operate in accordance with best practices that reflect the requirements of the Hague Convention and the Inter-country Adoption Act of 2000. Important information for adoptive parents about the Hague convention can be found at this link.
You will find the comment section on the Council on Accreditation website at this this link. Thank you for your consideration.
